Stormwater runoff is one the biggest threats to Washington’s watersheds and impacts the health of salmon, orcas and the Puget Sound ecosystem. In EarthGen’s Stormwater Stewards program, students learn first-hand about watersheds and how they can take action to protect their local environment.
On April 21, join us to learn how EarthGen supports Title 1 (low-income) schools to design and install rain gardens and other green stormwater infrastructure on school campuses.
You’ll also get to hear from two educators:
- Terry Holtgraves, Principal at Seahurst Elementary
- Matt Lonsdale, Teacher at Science and Math Institute
You’ll leave with a better understanding of how these projects create new opportunities for hands-on learning, expand community spaces, and improve local water quality.
