Each year, hundreds of K-12 teachers receive professional development and clock hours from EarthGen’s experienced staff.

Through EarthGen’s seminars and workshops, teachers:
- Learn new strategies to engage students in science learning in the context of environmental issues;
- Receive ready-to-use classroom resources designed to be adaptable to the local and culturally-specific needs of diverse students; and
- Share ideas with like-minded colleagues.
In 2020, EarthGen moved all of its trainings online to meet safety guidelines during the pandemic. Virtual trainings have proven to be effective, and have become popular among teachers. EarthGen’s virtual workshops strengthen teachers’ preparation in climate and environmental science and teach them how to use remote learning tools such as PearDeck, Jamboard, and Padlet to make remote learning effective for their own students.
