STEM Seminar: A Taste of Food Waste (Session 2/3)

Come learn with EarthGen in this virtual professional development opportunity designed for teachers in ESD 112, ESD 189, ESD 114, ESD 113, and ESD 121. Through asynchronous and synchronous learning, participants will have a chance to authentically engage with activities and experts as they grow their understanding of how climate change and climate justice has and will impact their community. Analyze and interpret recent climate science data with a climate scientist and lecturer from the University of Washington and progress understanding on the most salient climate change indicators in Western Washington. In this STEM Seminar, teachers will explore the complexities of waste and justice as exacerbated by climate change and what action they can take with their students.
