Come learn with EarthGen in this virtual professional development opportunity designed for teachers in Educational Service District (ESD) 112. Through asynchronous and synchronous learning, participants will have a chance to authentically engage with activities and experts as they grow their understanding of how climate change has and will impact their community.
Teachers will explore the foundations of climate science curated by a climate scientist and lecturer from the University of Washington. Teachers will explore and express the emotions brought up when learning about climate change and what action they can take with their students. It is vital to acknowledge, understand, and work with these emotions in order to identify oppressive systems, connect with our communities, align with our greater purpose, and be better changemakers.
