The recent Clark County Student Summit sparked newfound confidence and collaboration among the more than 60 high school students from seven schools who were in attendance. This annual event, hosted by EarthGen and Clark County Green Schools, served as a catalyst for students to dive into climate justice learning.
For many students, this summit marked their first opportunity to connect with peers and engage in conversations about climate change’s impact on their lives, as well as discussions surrounding climate justice and ways to take local environmental action. One student shared, “Climate justice can connect us as a community and help us find those who can care and inspire others to help our Earth.” Students left this event prepared to drive environmental action within their school communities.
