This fall, EarthGen has been connecting with educators across Washington to share strategies and resources for inclusive, sustainable science education. Here’s a look at the impactful conferences we’ve joined:
WSTA Annual Conference in Spokane
In October, EarthGen exhibited at the Washington Science Teachers Association (WSTA) Annual Conference, co-sponsored by E3 Washington. This was a fantastic opportunity to connect with science educators across the state, sharing EarthGen’s programs and learning more about the instructional priorities of teachers in the Spokane region.
WABE WIDA Fall Institute in Yakima
Our team also joined the Washington Association for Bilingual Education (WABE) WIDA Fall Institute to explore strategies for supporting multilingual learners in science education. EarthGen is grateful to Virginia Morales and Autumn Eckenrod for their informative session and to the educators from Wahluke School District, who demonstrated innovative ways to harness the strengths of bilingual students.
Washington Outdoor, Environmental, and Sustainability Educators’ 2024 Conference in Randle
This November, EarthGen will present at the Washington Outdoor, Environmental, and Sustainability Educators’ 2024 Conference, co-hosted by E3 Washington and Outdoor Schools WA. We’re excited to connect with educators to share resources that bring environmental education into classrooms and outdoor spaces, helping students build resilience and environmental stewardship.
Teacher Trainings Kicking Off This Fall
Alongside these conferences, EarthGen’s seasonal teacher trainings are underway! Through these workshops, educators are diving into environmental literacy, climate science, and student-led project strategies. We’re excited to support teachers as they guide students in becoming active stewards of their communities and the environment.
