We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Catherine Cushinberry as EarthGen’s new Interim Executive Director. With over thirty years of dedicated service in youth development, education, and social services, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to this role.
Throughout her career, Catherine has championed justice and equity, fostering crucial conversations and driving alignment within organizations. Her strategic approach and deep commitment to supporting youth align with EarthGen’s mission to cultivate environmental leaders in Washington State.
Nancy Harmon, EarthGen’s Board Chair, shared more about Catherine’s appointment, saying, “EarthGen’s Board is pleased to welcome Dr. Cushinberry as its Interim Executive Director. She brings an impressive background in organizational leadership to the role. The board has every confidence in her abilities and looks forward to working with her through this transition period.”
As we welcome Catherine, we also want to express our gratitude to Laura Collins, our previous director, who steps down after nearly ten years with EarthGen. She’ll move into a supporting role for a few weeks to assist with the transition. Nancy shares, “Laura has been a valued partner, consistently bringing positive energy and thoughtfulness to her work. She will be greatly missed. We wish her every success in her future endeavors.”
