Note: Posts before 2020 reflect EarthGen’s former name, Washington Green Schools.
“If we are a green school we can stay green and keep the Earth happy!”
Coffee grounds composting, bat house building, Alphabet Garden planning, worm bin tending, cafeteria recycling — The concept of “idle hands” isn’t something that the students at Green Lake Elementary are familiar with.
This Green Team of young leaders keeps busy with a profusion of initiatives that fold outdoor experiences into classroom learning. Impact is a direct result of community engagement, and Green Lake Elementary represents a recipe for success: Students, teachers, school administration, parents, and community partners are all working together to engrain sustainability into everyday life on campus.
