April 21: Taking Learning + Action Outdoors with Stormwater Stewards
On April 21, attendees learned how EarthGen supports Title 1 (low-income) schools to design and install rain gardens and other green stormwater infrastructure on school campuses. Attendees left with a better understanding of how these projects create new opportunities for hands-on learning, expand community spaces, and improve local water quality.
March 1: Honoring migrant stories with Monarch Mystery
Attendees of the March 1 SparkTalk learned how the experiences of migrant students inspired EarthGen’s science unit, Monarch Mystery. They left with a better understanding of how EarthGen works in partnership with migrant communities to honor student and community perspectives to create rich learning experiences for students all over the state.

Attendees heard how three Washington educators engage their students in climate justice education. They left ready to support climate justice education and action in their own community.
