High School Clark County Virtual Student Summit

Register to join EarthGen (formerly Washington Green Schools) and Clark County Green Schools virtually at the Annual Clark County Summit!

When

May 19 @ 12:00 pm 2:00 pm

Register to join EarthGen (formerly Washington Green Schools) and Clark County Green Schools virtually at the Annual Clark County Student Summit. This Summit will help prepare the environmental leaders of tomorrow! Even though we’ve all been learning from home for much of the year, environmental leadership and action has continued to grow. Because the Summit is virtual this year, each school is welcome to bring up to 10 students.

To kick off the event, we will have an optional keynote speaker at 11:45 am! Chloe Brush, is a senior at Western Washington University. She grew up in Portland and has been active in the environmental field since she was young. Chloe will share her experiences, what she’s up to now, and how students can stay involved in the work.

The Summit will introduce students to the variety of careers in the environmental field by hearing from professionals and experts. Possible professionals include landscape architects, authors, geologists, and more! Students will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with the professionals.

Students will have the opportunity to connect, share, and learn from their peers in Clark County. During the “poster” share-out session, students have the option to present the work they’ve done over the past year or speak about work they plan to do in the future. This is an opportunity for students to get inspired by peers in their community.

The final session of the day will be focused on BIPOC environmental leaders from across the globe. Students can expect an interactive session which encourages participation and learning about diversity in the environmental field.

The event will be held on May 19th from noon to 2 pm. Engaging resources will be shared before and after the Summit.

Please register for the event to receive the asynchronous prep packet.
