Kent Students Explore Zombie Guacamole

Elementary school teachers in Kent chose EarthGen (formerly Washington Green Schools) to provide engaging, hands-on science lessons for their fifth grade students.

Launching a district-wide, multiyear initiative,16 teachers from nine diverse elementary schools received training and support to implement EarthGen’s popular Zombie Guacamole program during the 2019-2020 school year. Students explored ecosystem cycles through the “Race to Decomposition” and learned ways to reduce waste at home and at school.

“The teachers who used Zombie Guacamole last year were thrilled with the student engagement and the level of content retention.”
