Green Educator Spotlight: Shannah Davidian

To celebrate #EarthDay2020 we’re launching a series to highlight educators and students who are taking action and making an impact in their communities and the Earth. Up first, is Shannah Davidian from the Kiona-Benton City School District.

Middle school teacher Shannah Davidian wanted her students to understand the environmental challenges facing their community. Last summer, Shannah joined other teachers from Eastern Washington to bring new education opportunities to migrant and bilingual students. With training and support from WGS, Shannah guided her students through WGS’s Zombie Guacamole program. Her students enjoyed exploring natural systems and learning ways to protect the environment. Excellent leadership, Shannah!
