Rising Star Elementary Students Honored as RAVE Community Kids of the Match

In a celebration of environmental stewardship and community engagement, students from Rising Star Elementary in South Seattle were recognized as the RAVE Community Kids of the Match at the April 6 Seattle Sounders FC match. Since 2019, Rising Star Elementary and EarthGen have joined forces to champion environmental education and action, supported by Seattle Sounders FC, RAVE Foundation, PCC Community Markets, and Abbott Construction.

The collaboration has transformed Rising Star into a center for hands-on learning, connecting students with nature through various activities. From clearing invasive plants to identifying native species, students are actively involved in stewarding and protecting the environment.

Through EarthGen programs, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make tangible impacts in their communities. This recognition highlights the dedication of Rising Star Elementary students to environmental conservation in their community and their role as young environmental leaders.
